What You Could Do

Run SFC And DISM Scan

• Step 1: Go to Search bar, type cmd and click Run as Administrator to launch Command Prompt with administrator privileges.
• Step 2: In Command Prompt (Admin), run the command sfc /scannow.
• Step 3: After the SFC scan finishes, run each of the commands down below:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

• Step 4: When the DISM scan completes, close Command Prompt and restart your computer.

Update Mouse Driver

Nowadays, you could update mouse driver via Device Manager. 

• Step 1: Go to the Search bar, type Device Manager and press Enter. 
• Step 2: Expand Mice and other pointing devices, right-click your mouse and pick Update Driver. 
• Step 3: Proceed to hit Search automatically for updated driver software
• Step 4: The moment the process wraps up, restart your computer. 

Note: It’s possible to download updates for the mouse driver manually. For instance, if your mouse is a Logitech model, feel free to visit the Logitech website to get driver updates. 

Apply Changes To Mouse Settings

• Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings, select Devices and choose Mouse.
• Step 2: Look to the right, locate Scroll Inactive Windows and toggle its switch several times.
• Step 3: Hit Additional mouse options then navigate to the Pointer Options tab.
• Step 4: Check Enhance pointer precision, uncheck Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box and check Hide pointer while typing.
• Step 5: Choose Apply then select OK.

Note: If you are using a touchpad, move the Palm Check Threshold slider to the left and make sure that No delay is checked. Step 7: If you are using a Clickpad, navigate to Clickpad settings > Advanced > Smart Sense then set its filter to 0.

Disable The USB Power Settings

• Step 1: Go to the Search bar, type Device Manager and press Enter. 
• Step 2: Expand Universal Bus Controller, right-click USB Root Hub and pick Properties. 
• Step 3: In the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and click OK.
• Step 4: Return to Device Manager,  right-click your mouse and pick Properties. 
• Step 5: In the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and click OK.
• Step 6: Close Device Manager, restart your computer and see how things turn out.
